Title: Lawful Intercept: I Saw What You Did Social network privacy concerns? Step back and consider this: Lawful Intercept (LI) is how all network users are able to be monitored and analyzed in real-time. While many are concerned with privacy on a popular website, LI empowers an elected or appointed authority to know our digital comings and goings around the clock. This presentation will highlight the latest in LI technology, LI challenges , and how each of us can shape future of how LI is perceived and used.

Jay Cuthrell has been coming to SxSW since 2008. Currently, Jay Cuthrell is a vArchitect at VCE (A Joint Venture of Cisco, EMC, VMware, and Intel) working with service providers to deliver next generation datacenter solutions. He is a frequent industry speaker based in RTP, NC and Missoula, MT. Previously, as a strategic technology consultant with cuthrell.com he worked with service providers, startup companies, and investment groups. He has held CTO, VP, and GM roles at Digitel and NeoNova (an Azure Capital and Bridgescale Partners portfolio company) and infrastructure consulting roles working domestically and internationally for Fortune 500 clients. He also served at Scient (formerly iXL now Publicis), Nortel, Analysts International, IBM, and NCSU College of Engineering. He holds a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University and grew up in Beaufort, NC. His blog can be found at fudge.org
