Or, the use of public/_redirects to catch all the FQDN subdomain quirks along the way…

As I am not a user of Meta, Facebook, Instagram, etc…
I’m pretty confident I will not use Threads, Fabrics, Garments, or the eventual ill-advised release of Exoskeletons.

#mastodonadmin note on v4.1.3 is to remember the dist/nginx.conf added two lines to location ~^/system/
add_header X-Content-Type-Options nosniff;
add_header Content-Security-Policy “default-src ‘none’; form-action ‘none’”;
And… you’ll need to redo and badge or favicon changes you made after you git checkout v4.1.3
YMMV

Pro Tip: Remember that using or referencing terminology like “Overton Window” in random population samples may result in some thinking (or being very confident) that it is a heavy window in a building, a popular design studio option in new a planned housing development, or something similarly banal.

One of the duties / perks of being a #selfhosted #mastodonadmin is the periodic “New trends up for review” email notice. Hashtags and links are rolled up for inspection.
Generally speaking, I tend to just go “Approved” down the line for hashtags then perform a per source inspection of links for discreet “Allow publisher”.
Anyhoo…
Good job y’all!
Keep #mastodon vibrant.

Random question from someone that sits on domains (but never fancied themselves a squatter) for projects that have languished:
What is a reputable recommended domain name appraisal service?
i.e. tell me how much [string of text].[TLD] is worth in the form of an appraisal considered to be legit if that domain name was to be donated to a worthy cause

A quick message from Lida:
With 18 years building, marketing, and scaling products at startups, I work with founders and leaders stuck between where they are and where they need to be. I help you cut through the noise, make sharper decisions, and get your team executing with clarity instead of chaos.
Most founders mistake complexity for strategy. They keep adding when they should be subtracting. When I'm brought in, the team is usually doing a lot right, and the real issue is focus and direction. I diagnose what's actually going wrong across product, positioning, and execution, then reset direction and get everyone aligned around one clear path forward that will lead to growth.
A bit of what I've done: I was the first PM on a fintech product that hit 10,000+ users within months, built a national incubator that supported over $500M in startup funding, and led teams at 23 Design before it was acquired by frog (the design team behind Apple’s first products). I've spoken at Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn, etc.
