In the 1980s, yttrium barium copper oxide (YBCO) #superconductors (aka cuprates aka 123’s) and iconic images of the Meissner effect moved me to become interested in hashtag#materialsscience and engineering studies and the promise of so-called room-temperature application. I would learn it was not going to be true then but perhaps soon. 🤓

But maybe with the wonders of A.I. and quantum computing being brought into practical scientific endeavors, it will be different at some point in time. Or, I’ll just end up on my back again. 🤣
